I love taking retired product and making it fresh again. For this card, I'm using Brocade and Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper to make something fresh and summery with texture and fun embellishments. I cut my Real Red card stock to A2 size and then layered on a piece of Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper cut 1/8" less. I chose a piece of Brocade Designer Series Paper and used the Big Shot to die-cut two Bigz Beautiful Butterflies. I then decided to dry emboss the butterflies with the Flourishes Texturz Plate and sponged the edges with an Old Olive Classic Stampin' Up! Pad. I cut a very long piece of dark green hemp twine and threaded it through five buttons tying the end in a knot and cutting a small piece at the top for the second antennae. I placed Sticky Strip on the back after I threaded the buttons. I adhered the first butterfly to the card with Stampin' Dimensional to give it some dimension. I scored the second butterfly down the middle so that I could flap the wings up. I placed a Stampin' Dimensional on the first and last button after I adhered it to the second butterfly because of the overhang. I used my sentiment from the Herb Expressions stamp set on Sweet Slumber Designer Series Paper and cut it out to mount on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. What do you think? Please leave me a comment and let me know. I hope that you have a very blessed day! Thank you so much for stopping by and looking.
